Hockey Uniform Requirements
De Smet Jesuit Hockey takes great pride in its program and, as such, each player is expected to show their Spartan pride by wearing the required uniform at each and every game:
- De Smet Game Jersey and Game Socks
- De Smet Shell
- Maroon or Yellow Helmet
- Maroon/Yellow Gloves
- Neck Guard
ABSOLUTELY NO CLUB GEAR TO BE WORN AT GAMES!!
- Each player is given their Jerseys at the beginning of the season, and is expected to care for them accordingly until they are to be returned to the Equipment Manager at that end of the season. Please see “Jersey Agreement Form” under the Resources tab.
- When a player enters the program for the first time they are given game socks and a shell, free of charge, for them to keep throughout their hockey tenure at De Smet. However, should they lose or need new ones for any reason it is their responsibly to contact the Equipment Manager and purchase socks ($50 for Varsity Socks/$33 JV Socks) a pair and shells for $50.
- JV Gold, Maroon and White teams are required to wear Maroon helmets, and Varsity is required to wear a Yellow helmet. Please see “Helmets” under the Resources tab for more information and how to purchase them online.
- ALL De Smet Jesuits Hockey teams are required to wear Maroon and Yellow gloves. De Smet decorated gloves are available for purchase through SK8DR or by contacting the Equipment Manager.
Player and Goalie Hockey Bags, while not mandatory, are available to purchase for $120. Please contact the Equipment Manager.
